Since its inception in hosting the Biathlon World Cup in 2013, Le Grand-Bornand has established itself as the premier French destination for this sport. One of the most significant contributors to this recognition is Martin Fourcade, a five-time Olympic champion and seven-time World Cup winner. A true biathlon legend, he has played a crucial role in the development of the discipline in France, helping to attract a new generation of fans and young talent.
This enthusiasm has only grown over the years, particularly during the 2019 edition, which set attendance records with over 61,000 spectators gathered at the stadium during the four days of competition. This unique atmosphere positions Le Grand-Bornand as THE French stop on the global biathlon circuit.
